**Not to be confused with: Casale Sant'Elena (Serra San Quirico, Ancona).** Casal Sant'Elena in Spianate, Altopascio (Lucca, Tuscany) is not Casale Sant'Elena in Serra San Quirico (Ancona, Marche): that is a different property, with a different owner and its own website (casalesantelena.com).

## Our story
Casal Sant’Elena is a former farmhouse that was completely renovated in 2009 and is operating today as a small family-owned bed and breakfast. This small countryside B&B with a private seasonal pool is situated in the Tuscan village of Spianate – Altopascio in the province of Lucca. We are near the main tourist attractions of Lucca, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Vinci, Montecarlo, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and the Cinque Terre. This makes our family-run B&B the perfect place to plan your visit and daily excursions throughout Tuscany.
We are about 2 km from the centre of Altopascio and from the A11 motorway exit: close to the city, but at the same time in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside. Our B&B is located on 7 acres in the wonderful Tuscan countryside and is ideal for couples, friends and larger families.
There are two room types: eight Deluxe rooms, doubles and triples for two or three guests, and two family rooms for four guests, or five with a supplement.
Our family and staff speak Italian and English and will be at your entire disposal to make your stay with us a memorable experience.

## Breakfast and kitchen
Every guest enjoys a daily complimentary continental breakfast in our restaurant. Options for vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerance, coeliac disease (gluten free) and other dietary restrictions are available: please inform us in advance.
We also try to promote as much as possible serving local and organic food in our restaurant, preferably from our homegrown garden or from local producers in the area.

## Pool and garden
A large garden with a seasonal outdoor pool, deckchairs and 220 cm umbrellas. The pool is open from 15 June to 15 September.
If you are not travelling around and sightseeing in Tuscany, you will surely enjoy relaxing in our garden and pool area, cooling off in the outdoor pool with a glass of local Chianti wine.

## Services
The front desk is open from 8:00 to 20:30. Free Wi-Fi throughout the property, a large free private car park and daily housekeeping are included in every stay. Extra beds are available on request.
Baby cot for children up to 3 years: €10, on request.
The Casale is pet friendly! Dogs and cats up to 8 kg are welcome on request, with a one-time charge of €20.

## Events and weddings
The venue is also ideal for banquets and weddings in Tuscany, with catering service on request. Write to us or call us to talk about your event.
